We had a great group of kids facing off for the championship to make it to the main event in Akron, OH from the super stock and stock racers. We had great support from World Wide Technology Raceway Gives, Napa Racing, Sera Honda, the Hill Neighborhood, our partners and volunteers.

We are aimed to grow these next few years and hope that you sponsor the race, a racer, or build a kit with your favorite dare-devil (age 7-18).

About

The All-American Soap Box Derby is a youth racing program for boys and girls ages 7-18 to compete in the Stock or Super Stock divisions. The Soap Box Derby has run nationally since 1934. The regional St. Louis race has a tradition since at least the 1950's. Today, we race down Macklind Ave. on The Hill and have been for over 15 years.

Winners of each division of the St. Louis regional race are eligible to move on to the World Championship finals, which is held each August at Derby Downs in Akron, Ohio. Here, hundreds of kids will compete for 1 week to crown the All-American Soap Box Derby World Champion.

The All-American Derby youth program is administered by International Soap Box Derby, Inc., An Akron-based non-profit corporation that seeks to inspire good sportsmanship and work to ensure races are safe, fun, and fair.
The Regional All-American Soap Box Derby is open to all kids between 7 and 18 years of age but is capped at 50 racers each year. To be eligible for the regional race, racers must have an official AASBD Soap Box car and wheels or purchase a kit and wheels from the All-American Soap Box Derby (below). Additionally, there is a $100 registration fee for the St. Louis regional race. Racers in the St. Louis race will receive a derby t-shirt, a participation trophy, and will compete for eligibility in the national competition.
